Two weeks ago I had the most amazing experience of the year (So far!): I went to a National Park here in Honduras, 1:30 Hrs. from my home. The name in Spanish is "Parque Nacional Cerro Azul Meambar" (PANACAM). It was my second trip there in the last two years, with the difference that this time I walked all the path on the mountains.

I went with a group of students that graduated from the English Class I taught them, so as a Farewell party we had this outdoor activity. Part of it my idea and part theirs.

The journey started at around 10 am, we went to two little waterfalls not more than 30 meters high each, but with fresh water that cooled my body and cleared my mind. Panacam is a great place to disconnect from everything, and I mean it.

The path is very crooked and some areas have steps that tired the feet, walking over areas where oxygen is really low, and reaching the top of the mountain where altitude is around 1.2 KM. Eventually a snake appeared and we left it alone until it was out of the way, I was very close to it when I realized that it wasn't a branch but a snake!! (A little scary, but fun!).

We finished the walk at 3pm! Ready for lunch and with a different mentality about life and goals. I so want to go back!

I took a lot of pictures and I have selected the ones I loved the most to place them in dA you may want to take a glance at them.

This is a panoramic view on the top…

A part of the path we walked…

A cicada's death body on a "Mono" tree…

A particular form of fern that made me think of a chameleon…

Another fern I found interesting to picture…

And one of my favorite garden plants in the garden of Panacam's Restaurant…

If you ever come to Honduras, this is a place to go. It also has a Hotel! (You may want to get some info: )

Thanks for reading, +Faving and more!
